Program Outcomes

Until graduation, students of psychological counseling and guidance Master of Science Program are expected to acquire the following knowledge, skills and behaviors:

  1. Precede in individual counseling, group counseling and other practices with the help of theories, skills, practices and techniques in individual and group counseling, and the skills gained from one-to-one intensive supervision.
  2. Internalize the principle of life-long learning to improve knowledge, skills and proficiencies of the field.
  3. Follow national and international publications and developments in the field of psychological counseling and guidance; and evaluate the field knowledge in a critical way.
  4. Precede with their presentations in national and international conferences and publications in national and international journals.
  5. Have the skills to utilize and interpret the measurement and evaluation tools in the field of psychological counseling and guidance.
  6. Have the knowledge and implication skills about different research methods.
  7. Choose accurate statistical methods in the field, accurately compute, interpret and report the statistical procedures.
  8. Effectively use the statistical programs in the field.
  9. Follow and use the technological innovations which the field of psychological counseling and guidance requires.
  10. Take effective role in giving educational trainings and seminars.
  11. Take roles in national and international activities and projects which are in the psychological counseling and guidance discipline or inter-disciplinary.
  12. Have effective communication skills in English (listening, speaking, writing and reading) and effectively communicate by using these skills.
  13. Become aware of the up-to-date and global problems and contribute to the development of the society by using knowledge and skills in the field.
  14. Adhere to and practice the ethical values and principles in their social lives and professional activities (research, practice).
  15. Have skills of developing and practicing necessary strategies to identify, determine and create solutions to the professional matters.
  16. Have advocate and leadership roles in professional topics; contributes to the national and international policy development studies; produce unique and creative solutions to the professional matters by collaborating with professional associations and communities.
