Occupational Health and Safety Thesis M.S. Program
Program outcomes of the Master of Science with thesis program of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science Occupational Health and Safety Program of the METU:
1. Knowledge and Application: Comprehends advanced theoretical knowledge in the field of occupational health and safety, effectively applies this knowledge in real working environments, and improves existing practices.
2. Research and Analysis: Identifies and analyzes problems in occupational health and safety using scientific research methods, develops evidence-based solutions, and shares research results in scientific environments.
3. Risk Assessment and Management: Conducts comprehensive risk assessments in working environments, applies risk control hierarchy, develops emergency response plans, and designs safety management systems.
4. Technology and Innovation: Follows contemporary technologies, integrates digital safety solutions, evaluates the safety dimensions of Industry 4.0 applications, and adapts technological innovations to safety practices.
5. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams, designs and implements safety training programs, establishes successful communication with stakeholders, and presents work on national and international platforms.
6. Ethics and Sustainability: Embraces professional ethical principles, develops sustainable safety practices, acts with awareness of social responsibility, and adopts the principle of lifelong learning.
