Program Educational Objectives

METU Psychology graduates:

• stand out in their careers as expert psychologists in alignment with the training they received in the scientist-practitioner model,
• are preferred by national and international master’s and doctorate programs in psychology,
• choose an academic career in the psychology departments of nationally and internationally acclaimed universities,
• can work in non-specialist positions that do not require a graduate degree from a sub-discipline of psychology. These include the positions of a psychologist, guidance counselor, consultant, or researcher in privately owned or governmental organizations/institutions that are leaders in the sectors of health, education, testing and assessment, advertising, and research and development.
