German-Turkish Social Sciences (METU-Humboldt Dual Degree) Non-Thesis M.A. Program
Program Outcomes
Our program aims to provide the following knowledge, skills and behaviours upon graduation:
- Our graduates have general knowledge on Western Europe, Caucasia and Central Asia; but specifically they have well-based knowledge on political processes, characteristics of domestic and international politics, social structure, social change and transformation, democratization and modernization processes of Turkey and Germany.
- Our students have methodological and conceptual perception on the social changes and transitions, political systems, migration and integration subjects in these two countries and other regions underlined above.
- Our program specifically concentrates on democratization, modernization, Europeanization and migration issues and our students have deepened and well-based knowledge and skills to make in-depth analysis
- Our students have chance to do internships in Turkey and Germany. Through these internships they will have chance to meet and know other partners of our program and this provides them an important opportunity to apply the theories in real life.
- During our program, students who do not know may learn Turkish and German languages.
- Our graduates conduct research according to moral values and responsibilities.
