Media and Cultural Studies Non-Thesis M.S. Program
Program Outcomes
It is aimed that the students of Media and Cultural Studies Master Program have following knowledge and skills when they are completed the program:
- Reaching the information is needed about media for its analysis and research and having skills to interpret it in daily life.
- Having an acquaintance on the basic concepts of media theory
- Understanding the political, social and economic changes of popular culture which occurs in a wide range from local stages to international stages
- Identifying and analyzing issues about information which are encountered with in political and social life
- Being educated as professionals that can work as creative consultants in any organization related with media
- Being educated about operations, decision making process and mechanisms of media organizations in terms of their theoretical framework
- Proposing original solutions to the issues are encountered with about media
- Having the skill of critical thinking
- Being open to the interdisciplinary approaches
- Present an audio or audiovisual project and write a dissertation about 10000-12000 words on a particular field of media and cultural studies which can be satisfy the expectations listed above
