Program Educational Objectives

The graduates of the B.S. program of the METU Mechanical Engineering Department are engineering professionals who

• are sought in areas of new technology and/or product development, being innovative and entrepreneurial individuals with leadership and pioneering abilities in professional areas,
• identify and solve engineering problems using a scientific approach with their sound engineering base, life-long learning habits, command of advanced technology, and research abilities,
• seek rational solutions in their professional practice while considering their social, environmental, economical, and ethical dimensions.
