Program Outcomes

Alumni of the METU International Relations Ph.D. program has the following knowledge, skills and attitudes:

1. Do scientific research, analyze knowledge, and make contributions to the literature in the field of International Relations.
2. Follow and contribute to the theoretical debates of the discipline of IR.
3. Aware of the latest methods of the discipline of IR and are able to use them in their research.
4. Can establish connections between different disciplines of the social sciences.
5. View social and international developments from a holistic perspective.
6. Establish advanced-level oral and written communication skills in both academic and practical spheres of life.
7. Create original ideas by achieving habits of inquiry.
8. Possess advanced research skills and ethics.
9. Have social sensitivity and moral responsibility.
10. To be able to express ideas and prepare effective presentations in academic and professional platforms.
