Program Educational Objectives

The METU History Department defines its educational objectives as follows:
Our graduates are:

• accepted into advanced degree programs in History (M.A. and Ph.D.) by top national universities and various prestigious institutions abroad.
• admitted to advanced degree programs (M.A. and Ph.D.) in a variety of different academic fields, area studies and other interdisciplinary programs.
• employed in both academic institutions and various official institutions such as the archives, several ministries, government agencies and public schools.
• employed in certain areas of the private sector such as education and publishing.
