Program Educational Objectives

• Our programme graduates are preferred to be employed in gender mainstreaming state institutions and organizations. Many ministries and directorate generals, particularly The Ministry of Family and Social Policies and The Directorate General on the Status of Women, employ our graduates.
• Due to the fact that our graduates are majored in English throughout Gender and Women’s Studies programme, they are the specialists who are in great request by international organizations. Subsidiaries like United Nation’s UNDP, UNFPA, UNHCR, IMO; International Labour Organization; organizations related to European Union, and national and international NGO’s are among these organizations.
• Our graduates have the opportunity of being accepted to and specifically preferred by the PhD programmes of the departments of Gender and Women’s Studies, Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology, History, International Relations, Political Science and Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration, and Social Policies of Turkey’s prominent universities and higher education institutions in abroad.
• Our programme graduates work as specialists in Women’s Studies Centres of the universities in Turkey.
• Our graduates are distinguished as the individuals who question and criticize the inequalities that they confront both in their careers and during their daily lives with a feminist perspective and who have the potential of transforming these inequalities.
