Program Educational Objectives

Following education objectives were accepted for the Doctor of Philosophy Programme of Engineering Sciences Department after mission and vision studies conducted between January 2010-February 2012 dates.

• Build the required background for combined use of the principles of science and mathematics in mechanics of natural events, engineering and biological systems.
• Give the qualifications of an academician having comprehension of fundamentals of science and mathematics to carry out researches in interdisciplinary fields.
• Provide the suitable environment for planning, conducting and presenting the research studies effectively, and for educational activities.
• Build the necessary mathematical background and algorithm-development skills for numerical solutions of problems in engineering mechanics.
• Develop the skills required for investigation and modelling of the behavior of biological systems and structures.
