Program Educational Objectives

Students graduating from the Economics Ph.D. program,

• Pursue academic careers as sought out and successful scholars in Economics, Business Administration, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, and Econometrics departments at home and abroad;
• Are employed as Specialists in the public and private sector;
• Are employed and sought after in public institutions such as the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Development, Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, Undersecretariat of Treasury, Turkish Statistical Institute, as well as  autonomous public organizations such as the Capital Markets Board, Banking Regulation and Supervision Authority, Competition Authority, and Energy Market Regulatory Authority;
• Are employed in international instutions and organizations such as the IMF, the World Bank, and OECD as Specialists and at Managerial positions;
• Are employed as Specialists and/or Comptrollers in the banking sector, and are hired for Managerial positions.
