Program Outcomes

Upon graduation from the Biomedical Engineering PhD program our students are expected to have gained  the following knowledge, skills and behavior:
They

  1. define scientific and/or technical questions/issues in their field; develop solutions using original, innovative and systematic research approach and methods.
  2. in addition to developing new and/or innovative ideas and methods to develop biomedical devices, materials and systems, they design and develop manufacturing processes as well as finds innovative/alternative solutions.
  3. have in depth knowledge on current engineering techniques and methods and their limitations.
  4. have general knowledge on current medicine and health sciences techniques and methods  and  their limitations.
  5. have the ability to follow and  implement the most recent academic and technical literature in the biomedical field.
  6. have the ability to develop interdisciplinary theoretical and/or applied research projects.
  7. are active and successful in teaching and transferring their expertise in the biomedical field to new researchers, technicians and engineers.
  8. have the awareness of academic and medical research/practice ethics.
