Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. Program
Program Outcomes
Upon graduation from the Biomedical Engineering PhD program our students are expected to have gained the following knowledge, skills and behavior:
They
- define scientific and/or technical questions/issues in their field; develop solutions using original, innovative and systematic research approach and methods.
- in addition to developing new and/or innovative ideas and methods to develop biomedical devices, materials and systems, they design and develop manufacturing processes as well as finds innovative/alternative solutions.
- have in depth knowledge on current engineering techniques and methods and their limitations.
- have general knowledge on current medicine and health sciences techniques and methods and their limitations.
- have the ability to follow and implement the most recent academic and technical literature in the biomedical field.
- have the ability to develop interdisciplinary theoretical and/or applied research projects.
- are active and successful in teaching and transferring their expertise in the biomedical field to new researchers, technicians and engineers.
- have the awareness of academic and medical research/practice ethics.
