Program Educational Objectives

Graduates of the METU Urban Policy Planning and Local Governments M.S. Program;

• Work mostly as policy analysts and advisors at local government and urban policy related state institutions such as ministries, governorships and development agencies.     
• Be charged at above mentioned institutions as team leader in the short run (approximately in 3 years) and as manager in the medium term (approximately in 5-10 years)  
• Be positioned as researcher and policy analyst at international public institutions, non-governmental organizations, political parties, think tanks, mass organizations (chambers) and consultancy corporations in the market and in the short run be positioned as coordinator in these institutions.  
• Be owner and employer at institutions that serves for consultancy and policy analyses within the mentioned issues in the market.   
• Be accepted to the well known and respected international and national PhD. Programs. Acceptances are actualized with scholarship especially in the case of international academic institutions.
