Program Educational Objectives

Graduates of the Department of Architecture at METU

• Are given preference at the architectural project and construction departments of the public and private sector as designers, practitioners and administrators.
• Are expected to provide services of exceptional quality based on ethical principles, when establishing project and consulting offices as employers.
• May work at national and international educational institutions, projecting their research- and educationidentities that embody their critical approach to thinking.
• Gain visibility and achieve new job opportunities by winning awards at national and international project competitions.
• Take responsibility and contribute with their environmental, communal and cultural awareness and experience in teamwork at organizations operating in fields related to the profession of architecture and public interest, and contribute as leaders in these organizations.
• Choose fields other than the profession of architecture as individuals knowledgeable in science, art and technology while employing the achievements of being trained in a discipline of multi faceted design.
